If you’ve just had a baby, you
may be concerned about how you can get back in shape while
caring for your newborn. After talking to your doctor and
coming up with an exercise plan that will work for you, you may
want to look at a few jogging strollers that will allow you to
spend time with your baby while doing something good for
yourself. Here are a few varieties–and questions–you’ll want to
consider.
One of the main concerns you
may have is how much you should spend on jogging strollers. How
do you know if a price is a ‘good price’? What should be
included in the price? Keep in mind that you will probably
spend well over $100 for a good stroller, and, like everything
else, you get what you pay for. So, try to find a comfortable
medium between staying within your ‘baby budget’ and purchasing
quality materials that you can use for years. ‘Good strollers’
will probably be in the $400 range, but you may be able to find
some for considerably cheaper at discount stores, or during
sales at your favorite baby outlets.
Another thing you’ll want to
think about when you’re looking for jogging strollers is wheel
size. If you’re going to be jogging on rough terrain, it’s best
to go with bigger wheels so that you’ll have better control,
but if your jogs will be in your neighborhood where there are
plenty of sidewalks, smaller wheels will do just fine. Twenty
inch baby stroller wheels are the standard when you’re going to
be running in grass or in hilly areas; sixteen inch wheels are
for light off-road use, and twelve inch wheels are best for
running on sidewalks or shopping centers.
The BOB Revolution Stroller is
a one of the best jogging strollers on the market right now,
and provides lots of great features for your baby, such as
cushioned and reclining seats for comfort, and better control
for you. There is also an adjustable tracking system on the
stroller, which allows you to steer the stroller straight even
when your jogging or sprinting. You can even work out your
upper body with the jogging stroller by adjusting the
resistance on the swivel wheel. And, if you purchase a car seat
adapter from BOB, you can use the Revolution stroller frame to
fit the car seat in when you take your jogs.
You may also want to take a
look at the Baby Jogger Performance stroller. The device has
twenty inch wheels so that you can get a great workout while
your baby is kept safe. There is a canopy for shielding your
little one from the sun, and the braking system is especially
advanced.
